Interim Director of Nursing - Full-Time 1st Shift North Shore Health Support Center

Interim Director of Nursing role providing leadership in facilities within an assigned territory. The Interim Director travels as needed and supports facilities in the absence of a permanent Director of Nursing.

Overview

Join the North Shore Healthcare team in a key leadership position that helps provide support to facilities in the absence of a permanent Director of Nursing. This full-time role focuses on guiding nursing teams, sharing knowledge, and ensuring continuity of care during transitions.

Responsibilities
  • Fill in as the interim Director of Nursing in North Shore Health Care facilities as needed.
  • Plan, organize, direct, supervise and evaluate all nursing services within the center.
  • Ensure nursing department compliance with federal, state and local regulations; implement nursing center core programs.
  • Maintain records and reports concerning resident care.
  • Orient and train nursing services personnel.
  • Manage the Nursing department within budget; follow all Center policies and procedures.
Requirements of the position

Required Education and Experience

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with the state of assignment.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated success in a nursing leadership position.
  • Strong financial and management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and extensive overnight travel.
  • Ability to relate positively and professionally with residents, families, community members, volunteers and center staff.
  • Interest in and a positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
  • English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
  • Health requirements as required by law.
  • Basic computer knowledge with aptitude to learn company applications; proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Demonstrated leadership competency.
  • Ability to travel to multi-state facilities.
  • Polished communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
