Advanced Practice Provider, NP​/PA – Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring Orthopaedic intervention.
• Writes accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders.
• Orders, performs, and interprets screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates and documents information.
• Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care.
• Evaluates quality outcomes for the patients receiving care through participation in developing quality indicators.

• Advanced Practice Nurse:
  Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
• Physician Assistant:
  Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
• Wisconsin RN License
• Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• DEA registration
• Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
• Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP)
• Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP (AGPCNP)
• Family NP (FNP)
• Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
• Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
