Job Title
Duties: 5CN is an acute Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit that provides complex care to primarily Cardiology and Cardiothoracic patients. The telemetry station in the hospital is located on this unit providing monitoring of the 15 beds on 5CN, as well as remote monitoring on 4C, 6CN/S and 7C. All staff achieves and maintains telemetry competence, allowing flexibility in staff assignment to the telemetry station 24/7.
The Inpatient Staff RN will demonstrate integration of bio-psychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components. The RN duties are to include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
- Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
- Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.
- Partners with others to effect change and produce optimal outcomes.
- Understands the changes associated with aging and principle of growth and development relevant to the adult and geriatric population.
- Interpret data related to the patient's current health status.
- Practice requirements include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
