Nursing Administrative Supervisor
The Nursing Administrative Supervisor (NAS) is responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational direction for nursing and patient care as well as patient flow.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the representative for the Associate Director for Patient Care Services during non-administrative hours.
- Accountable for reporting events occurring on the off-tour to the Executive Leadership team and providing recommendations/considerations for resolution.
- Collaborating with staff and managers to ensure appropriate staffing and safe patient care environments.
- Working effectively with inter professional partners to ensure actions are consistent with the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Collaborating with the Administrative Officer of the Day (AOD) and the VA Police to address emergencies that may threaten patients, staff, and the integrity of the medical campus.
- Ensuring safe, appropriate staffing throughout the organization as determined by Nursing Hours Per Patient Day (NHHPD), patient acuity, turbulence, service area needs, and external factors.
- Influencing staffing through efficient and timely utilization of capital and human resources.
- Facilitating bed control role and responsibilities.
- Utilizing problem solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolves issues/concerns.
- Ensuring staffing compliance with organizational guidelines and policies.
- Demonstrating consistent, thoughtful leadership when engaging with stakeholders across the organization.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
