Staff RN – Ambulatory Clinics
Location:
FROEDTERT HOSPITAL, Milwaukee, WI.
Job Type: Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) 0.7.
Standard
Hours:
28.00 per week.
Shift: Shift 1 (Transition with scheduled 8-hr shifts, rotating between 0700 and 0900 start times).
- No holidays.
- No weekends.
The Staff RN – Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care. The staff RN systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care. The staff RN utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health.
The staff RN establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The staff RN considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The staff RN delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. The staff RN participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development.
Major accountabilities of this role include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. May float to other areas as needed for operational needs. Other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate patient care and collaborate with interprofessional team.
- Collect, assess, and analyze patient data to develop and evaluate care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, education, and telephone triage/eVisits.
- Assist with or perform in-clinic minor procedures.
- Delegate and supervise care per state regulations.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and professional development.
- Float to other areas as required.
- Clinical experience and/or interest in care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment.
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Nursing licensure required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License under the NLC.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent within 90 days of hire.
