Any of the following: ED Holding (board patients waiting for an inpatient bed) 1:3-4, Other ICU's (MRICU, SICU, CICU, CVICU), Medical surgical unit (Ratio-1:3) , Sitter, PACU Surge 1:3-4

Unit Information:
- Beds: 27

Average patients/day: 25
- Census:
Minimum Years of Experience required: 4 years
- Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes
- Ischemic (post TNK, thrombectomies), hemorrhagic strokes (SAH, IPH, IVH, SDH), seizures, spinal surgeries, brain mass resections/biopsies, etc. Anything that falls under neurocritical can be handled here
- All significant neuro-intensive care patients assigned to core staff
- Medical respiratory overflow, general medical ICU overflow
Patient Ratios: 1:1-2, 1:3 for mixed acuity status
Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Skills required:
- Vents, trachs, art lines, vasopressor and sedation management, central line blood draws
- EPIC experience required
- Preferred: CVVH/CRRT, EVD
Support within the Department:
- CNA with 1:8-10
- Charge RN – rarely takes a patient assignment
- Critical Care NP: 2 on Days
- Intensivist 24/7 (2 on Days, 1 on Nights)
- Hospitalist 24/7
- RT 24/7
- Phlebotomy to assist with peripheral blood draws
- Telemetry at bedside and central monitor at nurse's station

Every other - Should approval of RTO go through manager or will you allow the interviewing team (if applicable) to approve time off on your behalf:
