Join our Outpatient Cancer Translation Research Infusion team in a dynamic, research-driven environment where you'll deliver exceptional, patient-centered care while contributing to the advancement of innovative cancer treatments. This unique opportunity offers the chance to care for patients participating in cutting-edge clinical research, including early-phase and Phase I clinical trials, alongside a collaborative team dedicated to excellence, discovery, and professional growth.

In this role, you'll provide comprehensive outpatient oncology care by administering IV chemotherapy, immunotherapy, investigational therapies, and supportive treatments. You'll educate patients and families, closely monitor treatment responses, and partner with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and research staff to ensure the safe, compassionate delivery of both standard-of-care and protocol-driven therapies.

Job Summary:

The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care. The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health. The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services considers factors related to safety, effectiveness and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care. The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice. The Staff RN
- Ambulatory Services participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development. Major responsibilities of this role will include one or more of the following:

• Perform/direct ACLS
• Independent rhythm interpretation and defibrillation
• Administration of advanced lifesaving medications
• Independent, templated (“RN-only”) visits for patient assessment, with action taken based on established protocols and/or clinical practice standards using clinical judgement to determine intervention timing/specifics.
• Specialty patient education where certification/additional certificate is required for role (listed in job requirements) o Sedation o Telemetry monitoring & interpretation/management of rhythm changes
• Assisting with complex procedures - (RN doing care / work on patient, or RN has role in treatment / procedure, etc.)
• Advanced wound therapy (VACs, debridement, etc.) o Central line management (TPA administration) and maintenance (dressing / cap changes, access / flushing)
• Device interrogation and interpretation with resultant action o Complex infusions (concurrent infusions, hazardous medication administration, blood and blood products, etc.) Work may also include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with minor procedures. May float to other areas on as needed for operations need.
