Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Medford, WI | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating Shifts (Days & PMs) | Onsite — Mix of 8- and 12-hour shifts; schedule may consist of four 8-hour shifts or two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift per week. Shift times include 0700–1500, 0700–1900, 1500–2300, or 1100–2300, with rare night shifts. Every other weekend (often every third) and every other holiday required.

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Department, with potential overflow into clinical exam rooms at a ratio dependent on acuity (up to 1:5)
• Assess, triage, and manage emergency patients across a range of acuity levels
• Maintain compliance with facility PPE guidelines and infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
• Float as needed to other regional emergency department locations
• Remain available for on-call assignments during low census periods; call-back to the facility may result in call-back pay

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• PALS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• TNCC certification
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Familiarity with high-acuity emergency patient populations
• Comfort working in smaller community hospital ED environments

• Expected 36 hours per week with up to 36 hours of low census coverage included in the contract structure
• Opportunity to work within a collaborative regional health system with exposure to multiple facilities
