Landscaping Supervisor

Position Summary

As a Landscape Supervisor, you will be at the helm of maintaining and enhancing Henry Meier Festival Park as well as its exterior. Ensuring they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. This dynamic role requires a blend of horticultural expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to guide teams effectively and deliver exceptional results.?

• Ability to effectively strategize and delegate specific tasks to Green Team members to ensure efficient results
• Cut grass, water lawns, trim shrubs, tend flower beds and regularly inspect assigned work areas to ensure proper standards are maintained.
• Operates lawn and grounds equipment including power mowers (riding or walking behind), grass trimmers, hedge cutters, chainsaws, and other power equipment
• Plants and maintain exterior and interior landscaping
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Medium/Heavy Work:
  Lifting 75-80 pounds Maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

• Must have a valid driver’s license, probationary or instruction permit not sufficient
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of irrigation systems
• Ability to lead, direct and train employees with little landscaping experience

The individual in this position will frequently work non-traditional shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Employee may be exposed to various weather conditions including rain, snow, wind, and extreme cold and heat as well as certain risks or hazards that are typically associated with a concert-type setting including: loud sounds, poor lighting, flashing lights, and crowded areas. Employee may be exposed to certain risks or hazards that are typically associated with an outdoor public venue.
