Assist the Grounds crew in maintaining a safe, inviting outdoor campus environment for students, employees and the public to enjoy.

Essential Functions:

Cutting grass, planting and watering flowers, weeding planting beds, emptying garbage containers, debris cleanup and other Grounds related duties.
May assist with the Moving crew or in Fleet Garage

Qualifications:

(Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

2. Ability to work the scheduled hours the entire summer, giving sufficient notification of any vacation or time off requests.

Physical Requirements

Lifting, pushing, pulling from 50 to 100 pounds for extended periods of time.
Bending, stretching, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting.

Working Conditions & Environmental Factors

Work is performed 100% on site in a variety of weather conditions including but not limited to: cold, heat, wind and rain.

Hours/Scheduling

Up to 25 hours a week

Monday thru Friday 6 AM to 2 PM

Communicate

with Supervisors and Groundskeepers regarding any issues observed in the assigned area.

Collaborate

with coworkers to create aesthetically pleasing landscapes on campus for all to enjoy
