I am partnered with a well‑established manufacturing organization in the Milwaukee area to identify a Quality Specialist who enjoys hands‑on quality work in a regulated manufacturing environment.
This role reports directly to the Quality Manager. It’s a strong opportunity for someone looking to continue building experience in quality systems, supplier quality, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and procedures in compliance with ISO 13485 and related standards
- Assist with supplier quality activities, including supplier audits and performance analysis
- Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Perform inspections, testing, and audits of incoming materials, in‑process components, and finished products
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sourcing teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle
- Support process validation, risk assessments, and first article inspections
- Assist with calibration activities and coordination with external calibration providers
- Help maintain quality metrics and KPIs
- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality procedures, systems, and best practices
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a technical or quality‑related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar quality role
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and medical device quality requirements
- Familiarity with ISO 9000‑based quality systems
- Experience with inspections, non‑conforming material, corrective actions, and quality auditing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP and PLM systems
- Effective communication skills for working with cross‑functional teams and suppliers
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and manufacturing floor work
- Frequent standing and use of hands for inspections and tools
