Quality Assurance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our Milwaukee location!

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, USDA, and customer standards, while driving continuous improvement in product quality and safety.

This role will oversee the QA Supervisors and QA Technicians, ensuring consistent execution of quality systems and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

• Manage and maintain the SQF System, ensuring certification and compliance with all requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor HACCP plans, including validation, verification, and reassessment activities.
• Lead, schedule, and coordinate internal audits, ensuring timely corrective actions and proper documentation.
• Supervise, train, and support QA Supervisors and QA Technicians, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee daily quality operations including packaging inspections, seal integrity checks, weight verification, and labeling accuracy.
• Investigate non-conformances and lead implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with production, sanitation, maintenance, and shipping teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for traceability, regulatory audits, and customer reviews.
• Stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and customer requirements to maintain compliance and drive innovation.

• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

• Demonstrated experience conducting and managing internal audits.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing QA teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with AQL sampling and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and promote a quality-first culture.
• Experience working with USDA-regulated facilities is a strong plus.
• Certified SQF Practitioner and HACCP trained.
