A manufacturing client is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician onsite in the Milwaukee area. This Quality professional inspects incoming and internally manufactured parts specifications, following diagrams and other written and verbal specifications. This is a Monday-Friday, 1st shift, direct hire position that requires someone with CMM programming experience!

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies using engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality standards.
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and other inspection tools to verify product conformance.
  • Review quality reports and inspection requests generated through the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and complete all required documentation.
  • Identify documentation discrepancies, errors, and omissions; recommend corrections and coordinate updates with Engineering and Document Control teams.
  • Create and process non-conforming material reports (NCMRs) and engineering change requests (ECRs) as needed.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, communicating inspection findings and collaborating on corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to investigate non-conformances and improve product quality.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain supplier quality performance records and supporting documentation.
  • Perform calibration activities for inspection and measurement equipment as required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment with tight-tolerance components.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and document non-conformances.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered
