A leading, employee-focused manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Senior
Quality Engineer to support quality assurance initiatives within a complex manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in driving manufacturing quality improvements, strengthening process reliability, and supporting cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality products to customers.
The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on quality professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced setting and has a strong background in manufacturing quality, data‑driven problem solving, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support quality-focused improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes and product reliability
- Analyze quality and production data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
- Support and participate in complex manufacturing problem‑solving efforts
- Drive containment, corrective, and preventive actions related to internal and customer‑reported quality issues
- Identify and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support stop‑ship, production holds, and quality dispositions as needed
- Review engineering documentation, prints, and acceptance criteria to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other cross‑functional teams
- Apply advanced quality tools and methodologies to prevent recurrence of quality issues
- Utilize quality metrics and feedback to influence process and design improvements
- Mentor and support other quality engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging quality technologies
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable quality standards
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality engineering
- Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Demonstrated success leading quality improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
- Proficiency with structured problem‑solving and continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma experience preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non‑technical teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills, and experience using data visualization tools
Preferred:
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
