The company serves customers across aerospace, defense, medical, and agriculture industries and operates under ISO 9001:2015 certification. Aboutthe Role
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable operating at the systems level while still being present on the floor with the team. You ll own the quality management system, lead the inspection team, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing- Managing and continuously improving the Quality Management System to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Leading the quality and inspection team through daily prioritization, coaching, and development.
- Overseeing the calibration program and ensuring inspection equipment stays compliant.
- Managing non-conformances, corrective actions, and CAPA processes.
- Supporting APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Communicating quality metrics and trends across the organization.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.
- Supporting federal contracting compliance including DFARS and CMMC as needed.
- At least 3 years of experience in a quality management or quality assurance leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes — precision machining, metal fabrication, or contract manufacturing backgrounds are a strong fit.
- Ability to read blueprints and work with GD&T.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Someone who takes initiative, follows through, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
- ISO 9001 experience.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFARS, or CMMC.
- Engineering degree or technical education — though equivalent hands-on experience is absolutely considered.
