What You'll Do:
  • Inspect and verify incoming materials, supplier parts, and in-plant production for compliance with established procedures
  • Analyze recurring production issues, recommend corrective action, and complete rejection reports when necessary
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve quality concerns
  • Maintain calibration of measuring equipment and ensure proper usage
  • Prepare reports for inspections, verification, and testing results
  • Support operational testing of rail cars and participate in customer delivery inspections
What We're Looking For:
  • Associate degree or vocational/technical school in mechanical systems, or 3-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, paint processes, inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing
  • Familiarity with metrology and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
  • Industrial Technical Engineer background preferred
  • SAP R3 knowledge and Spanish language skills are a plus
Physical and Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Frequently required to stand, walk and perform manual tasks
  • Occasionally required to climb ladders, maintain balance, and adjust focus as needed
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
