Our client is a food manufacturing organization seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support quality assurance, food safety, and production operations within a food manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing routine laboratory testing, monitoring equipment performance, documenting analytical results, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Located in Milwaukee, WI
Contract position w/extension
Schedule:
1st shift 6am-6pm (4 days on, 4 days off)
Pay: $20-25/hour
Responsibilities- Perform routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Conduct product analysis and accurately document, record, and communicate test results.
- Monitor laboratory instrumentation, perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting or repairs.
- Maintain laboratory records, databases, and customer specification documentation.
- Support food safety, quality, and regulatory programs by following established procedures and compliance standards.
- Assist with routine inspections, product evaluations, and laboratory trials under supervision.
- Identify and elevate technical or quality concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a Life Science field preferred;
High school diploma with 2 years experience - Previous laboratory, quality, or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Work in a food manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to dusty conditions and temperatures up to approximately 110°F.
