We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Layout CMM Programmer to join our Quality team. This position is responsible for performing dimensional layout inspections, programming and operating CMM equipment, supporting quality initiatives, and ensuring products meet customer and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using Mitutoyo MCOSMOS and Zeiss CALYPSO software
  • Perform dimensional layout inspections utilizing CMMs, variable and attribute gauging, and surface plate measurement techniques
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, engineering drawings, and CAD models
  • Generate accurate layout reports and maintain inspection documentation
  • Verify tooling changes and corrections in a timely manner
  • Conduct statistical analysis as required by Quality Management
  • Maintain quality sample inventory records
  • Coordinate and maintain calibration activities within the PLEX ERP/MRP system
  • Train inspectors on gauging techniques and new measurement equipment
  • Collaborate with Engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to determine inspection and gauging requirements
  • Perform destructive testing as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-5 years of CMM programming and inspection experience
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Experience with Mitutoyo MCOSMOS and/or Zeiss CALYPSO software
  • Experience with variable and attribute gauging
  • Basic statistical knowledge
  • Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and make consistent decisions
  • Experience in manufacturing or die-casting environments preferred
