Duration: DH

Shift: 1st Shift, 7 am- 3:30 pm

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to quality control activities in collaboration and under the supervision of the Corporate Quality Services and the Head of the Quality Department of the Plant.
  • Carry out and/or supervise inspections and verification of incoming materials, at both supplier and facilities, registering the results according to the established procedures.
  • Carry out and/or supervise inspections and/or verification of the production process, specially analyzing the recurring problems, and implementing the corresponding corrective actions.
  • Collaborate in the definition of the necessary inspections’ points during the production process, to assure the quality of the delivered cars.
  • Participate in the operational testing of the cars, to guarantee the proper functioning of all the systems for the final customer.
  • Participate in the reception of cars in origin (for example, Los Angeles), and their delivery once they have been overhauled.
  • Carry out inspections and issue reports with non-destructive techniques of testing, when necessary.
  • Participate in the process of return of defective material, completing rejection reports, in collaboration with the involved departments (warehouse, workshop etc.)
  • Acting as interlocutor with suppliers in the case of quality problems.
  • Keep updated the results of inspections and verification performed by the Department.
  • Manage the proper calibration of the measuring equipment in the Milwaukee plant, ensuring that all the workers use the equipment taking into account the calibration results.
  • Suggest improvements for products or procedures that have to be carried out as a consequence of detected deviations.

What you will bring:

  • Associate degree or vocational/technical school, specialist in mechanical systems required; 2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial setting.
  • Industrial Technical Engineer preferred.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.
  • Technical knowledge of inspection and Nod-destructive tests.
  • Knowledge of metrology applied to the industrial use.
  • Quality Management Systems according to ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of Spanish language will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP R3 will be a plus.
