Postdoctoral Position in Pathology Department
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Leone Lab. Part of the Pathology Department at the Froedtert Hospital Cancer Center. The lab's research interests involve investigating novel communication pathways between tumors and the microenvironment that surrounds them using both animal models and cell-based assays. Currently, the lab is focused on pancreatic cancer studies. The lab also investigates the cellular control of proliferation and is focused on the E2F family of transcription factors and the tumor suppressor protein, Retinoblastoma.
The ideal candidate will have received a doctoral degree in biochemistry, cell biology or related scientific field by the time of their appointment and will have experience with some or all of the following techniques: cell culture, PCR assays, Western blots, and flow cytometry. Experience working with mice is not required but would be beneficial. The Leone lab values diverse perspectives and backgrounds, and we are committed to maintaining a rigorous training environment where the contributions of all members are valued.
The Cancer Center and MCW harbor a highly collaborative research environment with world-class research facilities. The newly built Cancer Center building will contain a multitude of shared resources and equipment.
