Research and Lab Services Position Overview This project-focused appointment in quantum computing will support the research program of PI:
Dr. Dmitri Babikov. The project will focus on the development of a method for the modelling of quantum dynamics of molecular collision processes.
- Carry out computational research in Molecular Physics on the development of quantum computing algorithm for the description of rotational state-to-state transitions during inelastic molecular collisions.
- Write and test computer programs using Python, Qiskit and FORTRAN.
- Conduct research with a growing degree of independence, work well with others in the lab.
- Provide research summaries and reports weekly, meet regularly with PI to discuss next.
Skills And Abilities
HS diploma Preferred Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Candidate should have solid grasp of the principles of Quantum Mechanics, Molecular Physics and Physical Chemistry.
- A background in quantum information is preferable.
- Effective communication and organizational skills are important to successfully carry out this position.
