If you are the kind of person who read the job description and wanted to know more, you are probably the kind of person we are looking for. The ACPWB Analyst Development Program will give you structure.
Your Practice Lead will give you context. The rest is up to you.
The Staff Research Assistant is an entry point into ACPWB's Workforce Analytics practice for candidates who are serious about building a career in compensation benchmarking and market pricing. You will work alongside experienced advisors and analysts, contributing to real deliverables from your first week. This is not a coffee-and-copies role. We expect genuine effort and genuine curiosity. We will provide genuine training.
ACPWB's Workforce Analytics team of 10 is adding a Staff Research Assistant to support growing demand in compensation benchmarking and market pricing. You do not need years of experience to succeed in this role — you need intellectual honesty, attention to detail, and the ability to ask a good question. - Interest in Milwaukee and the Midwest as a place to build a professional career
In eighteen years, ACPWB has grown from a boutique Milwaukee advisory practice into a nationally recognized firm without losing the culture that made it worth building. People who joined in 2006 and 2010 and 2015 are still here. We believe that is evidence of something worth naming.
ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises — and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.
INTERVIEW PROCESSOur process has three stages: application review, a 45-minute screen with the hiring manager, and a final panel. We tell candidates what to expect before each step and provide an outcome within five business days of any interview. We do not leave candidates wondering.
What Success Looks Like In Year One- Ask good questions consistently — about methodology, about client context, about why we do things the way we do
- Take ownership of at least one recurring team responsibility — a data update, a tracking log, a template — and execute it reliably
- Complete at least one professional development activity outside ACPWB — webinar, workshop, or certification module
- Demonstrate the ability to independently manage a small, well-defined research task from start to finish
