Drive innovation in drug discovery with a Top-Tier Global Life Sciences Leader in Milwaukee, WI! We are seeking a hands-on Biomedical Engineer Scientist for a 12-month onsite role to formulate, prototype, and scale dry, liquid, and high-throughput screening (HTS) products.

- Formulate and scale biochemical products across diverse formats including tablets, sachets, vials, and multi-well HTS plates (24- to 384-well).
- Operate tablet presses, powder blenders, automated liquid/solid dispensers, and plate-handling equipment.
- Optimize powder flow, blend uniformity, compression parameters, and reconstitution performance.
- Develop analytical methods utilizing UPLC/HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and Karl Fischer moisture analysis.
- Qualify plate sealing, barcode tracking, storage conditions, freeze-thaw cycles, and edge-effect mitigation.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including batch records, plate maps, and manufacturing-transfer protocols.
- PhD with relevant experience, or MS with substantial industrial experience, in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry.
- Hands-on experience in at least two: dry formulation, tableting, powder processing, biochemical reagent development, automated dispensing, or HTS plate preparation.
- Proven background with 24-, 48-, 96-, or 384-well plate workflows, including solid/liquid dispensing and sealing.
- Deep knowledge of powder properties, excipient functionality, solvent compatibility, and formulation stability.
- Willingness and ability to wear respirator PPE in accordance with EHS standards.
- Experience with biological buffers, LC-MS reagents, DoE/QbD principles, and automated lab robotics.
