Mason Street Grill Steward

Overview

Mason Street Grill is in search of a Steward to help keep the kitchen clean and tidy, empty garbage cans, wash pots and pans, and load/unload the dishwasher. The Steward works behind the scenes to support a high standard of service in our restaurant in Milwaukee.

Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for delicious steak, handcrafted cocktails, and jazz. In addition to great food and drinks, we also have exceptional service you can't find anywhere else. At Mason Street, we want to serve experiences. Whether it's the upbeat aromas, the background sounds of live music, or the taste of a refreshing cocktail after a long day at work, we want to make sure our guests  time with us brings them back again and again.

• Operate and maintain the dish machine to standards, efficiently processing dishes and utensils.
• Organize clean dishes, unload, stack, and store them in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dish area and kitchen, including emptying garbage cans and performing general cleaning tasks.
• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, drying, and transporting soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.

• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions.
• Must be able to change activities quickly.
• Prior hospitality, cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
