Position: Make a difference--one couch at a time--at the ReStore!

Overview

Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing by working alongside future homeowners and volunteers to build and rehab simple, decent and affordable houses. The ReStores are donation-driven retail stores whose proceeds benefit the mission of building simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need. The ReStore is stocked exclusively with donated items such as new and used furniture, appliances, kitchen cabinets, building materials and other home goods.

ReStore is driven by volunteer power. Habitat’s ReStore offers an enjoyable, accommodating, and impactful volunteer experience at three Milwaukee-area locations:
Wauwatosa, Greenfield, and Franklin. Every year we salvage and recycle tons of furniture, building materials, appliances, and home accessories. We refurbish and sell these goods at 50%–75% below retail to raise funds for building safe, affordable homes in our community.

There’s a spot for you on our ReStore team!

ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers whose proceeds are used to build safe, affordable homes in our community.

  • Donation Center Volunteer: help sort, research, price, and prepare donations for sale.
  • Sales Floor Volunteer: organize displays and help customers find what they need; volunteers provide a personal connection to Habitat for Humanity.
  • Cashier Volunteer: serve as cashiers; multi-task, greet customers with a smile, and manage busy checkout lines.
  • Additional volunteer opportunities include metal scrapping, furniture repair, electronics testing, and more.
