Position: LEAD SALES ASSOCIATE-PT in ADAMS, WI S06870

Job Overview

Lead Sales Associate (Part Time) – Adams, WI (Position Code: S06870) at Dollar General.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a cashier and/or stocker, leading in the absence of the store manager or assistant store manager.
  • Assist in setting and maintaining plan‑ograms and programs.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and assist customers in locating merchandise.
  • Unload trucks, stock merchandise, rotate and face merchandise on shelves, and build merchandise displays.
  • Restock returned and recovered merchandise; order zones and drop‑shipment categories as directed by the store manager.
  • Maintain register countertops and bags; implement register‑counter top plan‑ograms.
  • Operate the cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customers’ purchases, bag merchandise, collect payment, and give change.
  • Clean the front end of the store, help set up sidewalk displays, and maintain a clean, well‑organized store and safe working environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures outlined in the standard operating procedures manual, employee handbook, and company communications.
  • Open and/or close the store under the direction of the area manager.
  • Count registers; make bank deposits; maintain strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to security practices and cash control procedures.
  • Monitor cash levels; make appropriate drawer pulls as directed by the store manager.
  • Monitor cameras for unusual activities (customers and employees), if applicable.
  • Knowledge and execution of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability, and deposit control.
  • Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
  • Knowledge of safety policies and practices.
  • Ability to read and follow plan‑ogram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training (preferred).
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability, deposit control, safety policies, and cash control procedures.
  • Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices.
