Store Manager - Milwaukee & Geographical

Position Overview

As a Store Manager, you’ll manage all store operations to maximize sales results while embodying “Our Burlington” values. You will mentor, coach, and lead a team of Associate Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to deliver excellent customer service and a world‑class shopping experience.

• Direct management and oversight of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of company policies, standards, and initiatives.
• Ensure that Assistant Managers and store team members fulfill their individual responsibilities.
• Partner with the Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing.
• Partner with the Assistant Store Manager, Operations to review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns‑to‑vendor (RTV’s), and chargeback paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD); lead by example, set the standard, and create a strong leadership presence by following and modeling Burlington SOPs.
• Manage multi‑million‑dollar sales volume and expense budget, including review of all associated reporting and record‑keeping.
• Recruit, screen, and hire associates to meet store staffing needs.
• Facilitate onboarding and training for new associates; provide ongoing coaching in the moment and implement structured learning and development activities for all team members.
• Handle personnel and associate relations issues.
• Manage payroll budget, workforce management, and scheduling.
• Facilitate effective communication and partnerships among the store team, district and regional management teams, and other partners within the company.

• 5+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Travel may be required from time to time.

Pay Range: $84,375 - $101,250 / annual
