Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.50 - $15.50 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 6 – 8 hours per week

  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory. You will use technology for communication, reporting, feedback, and completion of required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store personnel and customers is vital.
  • Holiday support: You will assist during peak periods such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, including working on the holiday itself or on weekends when required.
  • Department resets: You may be part of a team for installations and resets—building Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections—typically notified two weeks in advance. These assignments may take place evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you may support other team members as needed in their territories.
  • Physical Requirements

    This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You may also need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.

    Qualifications
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Proficiency with a digital handheld device for reading and interpreting documents.
    • Access to Wi‑Fi and internet.
    • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
