District Manager
Location:
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (open to the far Northern Counties of Illinois)
The District Manager – Wisconsin is a sales role reporting to the Regional Manager – MN, WI, NE, ND, SD. The role oversees the development and execution of our annual sales goals in the assigned area. It involves daily brand selling, serving as the company ambassador, and collaborating with sales reps and distributor managers to achieve the annual plan.

Activities- Work with the Regional Manager to ensure goal clarity in the area
- Constant focus on achieving goals in the territory
- Work with the Regional Manager to provide solutions to move sales forward
- Programming ideas
- Pricing opportunities
- Consistently update distributors on progress versus goals and programs
- Selling with a focus on profitable volume growth
- Manage own T&E to stay within budget
- 5–7 years of alcohol beverage (wine & spirits) sales experience in progressively responsible roles
- Current relationships in the market is a bonus
- Knowledge of core pricing principles
- Knowledge of key merchandising principles in on- and off-premises channels
- Knowledge of how restaurants run their beverage program
- Knowledge of how local chains and independent liquor stores plan and run their beverage business
- Four-year college/university degree, preferably in Business Administration
- Advanced degree is a plus
- Exceptional sales leadership skills with proven ability to grow a profitable business
- Strong distributor leadership, influencing action to meet/exceed the business plan
- Deep understanding of the alcohol beverage category and ability to manage a growing business through multiple distributor points of contact
- Sound business financial understanding and budgeting experience
- Proven ability to manage and influence distributor teams for year‑on‑year growth
- Experience planning and managing new product launches; supplier market visit planning
- Familiarity with product sales; ability to develop compelling selling stories
- Analytics—ability to mine key insights from large data sets for sales presentations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with a multi‑brand portfolio
- Results oriented; thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Experience utilizing pricing, forecasting, and sales tracking tools
- Ability to manage upwards to keep the Regional Manager informed of market developments
- Collaborate with regional counterparts on blitzes when required
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs
- Must be able to travel 40–60% of the work week
- Must be able to work some weekends and travel overseas for business purposes
$90,000–$100,000 annual
