Position: Freedom Boat Club - Membership Sales Executive, Greater Milwaukee Area

Position Overview

As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club team (the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club), you will represent the Club to members of the public as the Membership Executive for the Greater Milwaukee Area Clubs. We are looking for an energetic sales professional who is enthusiastic, service‑oriented, and passionate about selling. The role is largely commission based, with an annual base salary of $25,000 and per‑sale commissions, plus monthly and quarterly bonus opportunities.

Functions
  • Explain the Freedom Boat Club experience and convert prospects into members.
  • Ask questions to ensure you understand the prospect and address all questions and concerns.
  • Navigate the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to text, call, and email prospects.
  • Partner with marketing to organize and host events such as boat shows, trade shows, open houses, member socials, and additional off‑site events.
  • Network in the community to spread awareness of the Club and its offerings.
  • Maintain positive relationships with current members dockside; member referrals help grow the Club.
  • Work with a team of Membership Executives to share best practices and continuously improve.
  • Work non‑traditional hours, including weekends and holidays, to respond to prospects and host events.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of sales experience.
  • Experience with guerilla marketing, networking, hosting events, and closing deals.
  • Relentless follow‑up skills, exceptional oral and written communication, and strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience with a CRM system and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated success in selling intangible products.
  • Pass a background and education check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Boating experience, including former boat ownership.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to think outside the box and develop creative win‑win outcomes.
  • Positive, cooperative attitude and capability to work unsupervised.
Working Conditions
  • Occasionally work outdoors and in various weather conditions during dock tours or events.
  • Work near and on water, safely moving on, off, and in vessels during varying tide and weather conditions.
  • Regularly visit all Club locations.
Compensation

The majority of the compensation package is commission based, allowing you to earn based on performance and sales achievements. The anticipated pay range for this position is $25,000 (base only) to $145,000 annually. Actual earnings will depend on sales skills, experience, market conditions, and individual performance. In addition to commission, you have opportunities for bonuses based on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
