Responsibilities
  • Coach the inside sales team in executing sales functions, including developing and servicing managed accounts.
  • Quote and negotiate custom products and special‑priced orders; provide technical information.
  • Perform related clerical follow‑up duties and oversee the sales quotation process, following procedures for review and elevation.
  • Provide training, tools, and information that enable direct reports to perform their duties with minimal supervision.
  • Assess sales representatives’ performance and develop strong working relationships through one‑on‑one interaction and group discussions.
  • Train sales representatives in procedures, product knowledge, and customer relationship skills, including building, negotiation, account management, and other sales techniques.
  • Encourage use of appropriate promotional material to enhance the customer’s awareness of our stock and custom capabilities.
  • Monitor sales trends and managed accounts, identifying opportunities for additional account growth and spotting unmanaged accounts with growth potential.
  • Work with management to develop sales tactics that contribute to overall company goals and track sales representatives’ progress.
Qualifications
  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent business correspondence, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • People‑oriented, patient, objective, and able to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Sound judgment in developing solutions and interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Post‑high‑school education preferred with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training in sales or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
