Position: Executive Director, Strategic Partnerships (Milwaukee)

The Middle Six is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a rapidly growing professional services firm looking to establish a significant presence in the Milwaukee market.

This is not a territory management role.

It isn't an inherited book of business.

And it isn't designed for someone who depends on marketing-generated leads.

Our client is looking for the individual who is already well known throughout Milwaukee's business community—the connector who is regularly introduced into executive conversations, invited to networking events, and trusted by senior business leaders.

If people routinely call you because "you probably know someone," we should talk.

The Opportunity

Our client has built an exceptional reputation serving enterprise organizations and is now investing in expanding its direct presence in Milwaukee.

This executive-level position offers the opportunity to build a market from the ground up with the support of experienced delivery teams, technical experts, and executive leadership.

You'll have the autonomy to develop relationships, identify opportunities, shape market strategy, and ultimately become the face of the organization in Southeast Wisconsin.

Success in this role will be driven by relationships, credibility, and business development—not high-volume prospecting.

We're looking for the person whose phone already has the Milwaukee business community in it.

This isn't a role for someone who plans to build a network. It's for someone who already has one.

What You'll Do
  • Build and grow a portfolio of executive relationships throughout the Milwaukee market.
  • Develop new business opportunities with mid-market and enterprise organizations.
  • Engage C‑suite leaders in strategic business conversations.
  • Lead opportunities from initial introduction through signed engagement.
  • Represent the organization throughout the local business community.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to develop customized client solutions.
  • Help define the long‑term market strategy for Milwaukee.

We're open to a variety of backgrounds, including professional services, consulting, technology, financial services, executive recruiting, commercial banking, manufacturing, or other relationship‑driven industries.

What matters most is your ability to open doors, build executive-level trust, and generate new business.

Requirements

We are specifically seeking someone with a well‑established Milwaukee executive network that is reflected in an active, high‑quality Linked In presence. Your relationships—not cold outreach—will be your greatest competitive advantage.

  • Established executive network throughout the Greater Milwaukee business community with demonstrated relationships across multiple industries.
  • Established, visible professional network in the Greater Milwaukee market, reflected through an active Linked In presence and a reputation as a trusted connector among business leaders.
  • Proven success generating new business through executive relationships, referrals, and strategic networking—not solely inbound or marketing‑generated leads.
  • Experience selling complex, high‑value professional services, consulting, technology solutions, or other enterprise‑level offerings.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C‑suite executives, including CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs, and other senior decision‑makers.
  • Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue and business development goals.
  • Highly entrepreneurial with the ability to build a market with minimal direction.
  • Strong executive presence, business acumen, and relationship management skills.
  • Must reside within the Greater Milwaukee area.

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Local travel throughout Southeast Wisconsin.
Compensation
  • On‑target earnings of approximately $300,000+, with significant upside based on performance.
  • Competitive base salary plus uncapped incentive compensation.
