- Pursuing New Customers
- Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants within your territory.
- Identify and research prospective customers.
- Develop sales strategies that highlight GFS products, services, values, and solutions, and present those strategies to prospective customers.
- Deepening & Strengthening Existing Customer Relationships
- Visit all assigned customers on a weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly basis.
- Conduct business reviews to assess customer needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Provide ongoing training to customers on GFS product offerings.
- Identify opportunities within existing customers’ businesses where GFS can add additional value.
- Sales Territory Management
- Balance new customer acquisition and deepening existing relationships.
- Coordinate visits to prospective and existing customers.
- Communicate order status and processing updates to customers.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
- At least 1 year of sales, business, or food service experience.
- Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.

During the first 90 days you will participate in e‑learning, classroom sessions, video role‑plays, job shadowing, and mentorship to learn system usage, product knowledge, new customer engagement, relationship building, and territory management.
