Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Milwaukee, WI or nearby loaction for retired or former dairy equipment sales professionals who wish to continue contributing their industry experience. The professional will engage with dairy and food processing clients to understand their production needs and recommend suitable automation solutions and equipment configurations. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting customer facilities, conducting equipment evaluations, consulting on plant upgrades or new installations, and supporting the sales team with technical insights and practical field knowledge.
The role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, providing feedback to engineering and product teams, and contributing to customer training sessions or demonstrations. The position is designed to leverage prior industry experience while offering a structured, collaborative environment with clear objectives and support.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in Dairy Products, including dairy processing equipment, plant layouts, and production workflows.
- Skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a track record of building long-term client relationships in a B2B environment.
- Background in Quality Control and Food & Beverage standards, including familiarity with hygiene, safety, and regulatory requirements in dairy processing.
- Previous experience in dairy equipment sales or technical consulting, ideally with automation or turnkey project solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort working on-site at customer locations and collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, project management, service).
- Basic proficiency with digital tools (email, CRM systems, documentation software); familiarity with IoT or automation technologies is an advantage.
- Relevant educational background in engineering, food technology, dairy science, or equivalent practical field experience.
