Position: Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - MILWAUKEE, WI

Overview

The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages neurologists, nurses, and patient advocacy groups across diverse care settings—including academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts—within an assigned geography. The MS delivers clinically focused messaging to drive revenue and achieve product goals while demonstrating strong ownership, initiative, and compliance with integrity-driven performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers within the assigned geography, delivering clinically focused selling messages to launch products and grow brand share and revenue.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders—such as Reimbursement and Access Specialists—to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends, and develop strategies that support brand and corporate objectives within the territory.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, collaboration colleagues, and internal contacts, including clinicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, and various internal teams.
  • Conduct rare neurology‑specific market profiling activities to gain a deep understanding of regional and local healthcare delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
  • Develop comprehensive territory, account, and customer plans to drive achievement of desired objectives.
  • Ensure all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available products through a “total account call” emphasis.
  • Strategically sell and manage accounts, executing tactics to establish, generate, and expand market share within the Rare Neurology therapeutic area.
  • Identify business opportunities within assigned accounts and lead coordination of efforts by the account team, such as supporting contract pull‑through.
  • Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account through research and proactive integration of information from stakeholders, covering business models, metrics, challenges, and strategic goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory;
    Master’s degree or advanced certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in neurologic sales and specialty/biologic/REMS products; launch experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with key thought leaders or high‑influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed‑care organizations.
  • Proven track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with high integrity within compliance guidelines.
  • Results‑oriented with a proven record of successful product launches.
  • Strong account management experience with analytical, problem‑solving, and planning skills.
  • Experience calling on large neurologic group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong understanding of the neurologic therapeutic area and current marketplace.
Location

Field Based – Milwaukee (Metro), Wisconsin.

Salary

$158,950 – $220,000 (annually).
