In this role you will:
- Safeguard museum collections and ensure the well-being of museum employees and visitors
- Use all 5 senses to make observations of irregularities and document them in written reports
- Patrol, on foot, the over 400,000 square foot building
- Monitor 200 cameras in the dispatch office and serve as a resource for multiple departments via radio communication
- You can be flexible and are able to work a varied schedule, which include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- You are personable and customer service oriented
- You can remain calm in stressful situations
- You are detail oriented and observant of your surroundings
- You can independently problem solve and make logical decisions
- You appreciate communicating with people of varying backgrounds
- You enjoy working in a team-oriented environment
- You are highly dependable and punctual
- You are able to write clear and accurate reports
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent education
- 1 year previous security experience
- Prior DAAT training or similar de-escalation and self-defense training
- CPR, AED, and/or First Aid certification
- Prior experience with Access Control systems, MPM uses C-Cure
