What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordination with site leadership and/or local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization, and maintaining awareness of restricted areas while documenting security-related concerns per post orders.
• Carry and handle issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, including completing required logs, reports, and training tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
