** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordination with site leadership and/or local law enforcement when needed.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.

+ Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization, and maintaining awareness of restricted areas while documenting security-related concerns per post orders.

+ Carry and handle issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws, including completing required logs, reports, and training tasks.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have at least 2 years of security experience.

+ Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience or a college degree.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
