Mac-Tech is seeking a full-time, on-site Press Brake Field Technician located in Milwaukee, WI. The Press Brake Field Technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of metal fabrication equipment, with a particular focus on press brakes. Daily tasks will involve diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal machine performance. You will also provide technical support and guidance to customers to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Additional duties may include documenting service tasks and collaborating with the team to enhance service processes.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues in metal fabrication equipment, particularly press brakes.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and machine documentation.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, and service of metal fabrication machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment relevant to machine repair.
- Availability to work on-site in Milwaukee, WI, with occasional travel to client locations as required.
- Experience in the metal fabrication industry is a plus, along with relevant technical certifications or a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
