As a Field Technician at Spectrum, you will be on the front lines, installing and repairing services and educating customers on their use. - Earn $20+/hr from day one with immediate opportunities for self‑progression and professional growth, moving from Field Technician I to Field Technician IV, with 10% increases at each level and bonus payments for completing coursework. Additional opportunities to move into leadership positions.
- Field Technicians can also earn an industry‑recognized certification.
Our Field Technicians work outdoors, utilizing hand tools in a variety of environments. You’ll receive support to build confidence and skills for solving complex technical issues. You’ll also maximize your potential through on‑the‑job training, career self‑progression, the Broadband Apprenticeship Program, and more.
Required Qualifications- Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. - Schedule:
Ability to travel—including during inclement weather—to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities, and other locations as necessary. - Language:
Fluent in English. - Technical skills:
Proficiency in using computers, software applications, and hand tools. - Abilities:
Effective communication, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsibility, and reliability. - Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record within company standards.
- Physical:
Ability to work across various terrains and weather conditions, safely use weight‑bearing equipment up to 345 lbs, lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders up to 32 feet, operate a company vehicle, and work outdoors in inclement weather.
