Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations on Transportation and/or Industrial Construction projects.
• Install conduit (all types), cabling and wiring, power distribution systems including switch gear, transformers, control panels, lighting systems, F/A, and miscellaneous temporary power.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on all installations and tasks.

• NICET 2 or higher certification.
• BICSI Certified in Wastewater Treatment Plant Experience.
• Overhead Catenary Specialist Experience (OCS).
• 5‑7 years minimum experience.
• Completion of an Apprenticeship program preferred but not mandatory.
• Current Electrical License.

Hourly wage: $59.50.

Benefit package: $23.37 per hour; includes Healthcare, Annuity Fund, and Pension.

Overall compensation average: $82.87 hourly.

Rates are based on a straight 40‑hour workweek.

This role is active and hands‑on, requiring frequent standing, navigating uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. It is physically demanding with a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. Lifting and carrying materials up to 25 lb, occasionally up to 50 lb.

Significant time on active construction sites, dealing with various weather conditions, moderate to loud noise, elevated or confined work areas, and mechanical equipment. Also office tasks involve prolonged sitting for computer work, document review, and meetings.

The environment is demanding, high‑performance, requiring flexibility for extended hours during critical phases. Expected to monitor and respond to communications (phone, email, text) for time‑sensitive matters or emergencies.
