Job Description

This role focuses on supporting the build, renovation, and repair of jobsite and event trailers at a dedicated facility in Louisville, Kentucky. You will work primarily outdoors to ensure each trailer is safe, fully operational, and ready for use, performing light repairs across framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems while closely following safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist technicians in building, renovating, and refurbishing jobsite and event trailers from arrival to completion.
  • Inspect trailers upon arrival and identify any issues that require repair or adjustment.
  • Perform exterior framing repairs to address structural damage and maintain trailer integrity.
  • Complete basic plumbing repairs to ensure all water and waste systems are fully operational.
  • Carry out light electrical work, including switch replacement and verifying that outlets and circuits function correctly.
  • Support light HVAC repairs and coordinate with external contractors for more complex HVAC issues as needed.
  • Work primarily outdoors in a construction-oriented environment while maintaining high safety standards at all times.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete construction, carpentry, and remodeling tasks.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures to ensure quality and compliance on every trailer.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet production and quality goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and handled.
  • Be available to work first shift hours and overtime when required to meet workload demands.
Essential Skills
  • Hands‑on experience in remodeling, carpentry, or construction‑related work.
  • Practical framing skills, including repairing and reinforcing exterior structures.
  • Basic plumbing experience sufficient to diagnose and repair operational issues.
  • Basic electrical experience, including switch replacement and outlet troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to HVAC systems with the ability to perform light repairs and adjustments.
  • Ability to work safely in an outdoor, construction‑style environment.
  • Capability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Reliability and willingness to work first shift with the ability to work overtime when needed.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working with portable trailers, modular buildings, or jobsite offices is a plus.
  • Familiar in multi‑trade maintenance or general technician roles is beneficial.

Work

Environment

The company supplies portable trailers and offices to the construction industry and other sectors, and this role is based at a facility that prepares and maintains these units. Work is primarily performed outdoors and involves hands‑on construction, repair, and maintenance tasks on trailers. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime based on workload.

You will work in a team‑driven environment that emphasizes safety, the use of hand and power tools, and collaboration to meet quality and production goals. Driving is not required for this position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
