The Field Installation Specialist is responsible for performing on-site work at Insul Tech customer locations, including the installation, troubleshooting, modification, and support of insulation blanket systems.
Key Responsibilities- Review and understand the scope of work for each project
- Overnight travel to customer job sites as required
- Install, modify, and support insulation blanket systems
- Accurately document all work performed
- Follow all company SOPs and site‑specific safety requirements
- Use basic math skills to complete job tasks
- Safely and effectively use hand tools
- Troubleshoot issues and assist in resolving problems
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and internal staff
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required
- Operate a pallet jack
- Safely use ladders and other access equipment
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE, tie‑off procedures, and monitoring requirements
- Comply with safety policies and report incidents promptly
- Track and report mileage, travel time, and job hours accurately
- Understand job scope and identify required materials (job number, PO, etc.)
- Document job conditions before and after work
- Use basic hand tools (scissors, tape measure, utility knife, screwdriver, pliers, stapler)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on‑site when possible
- Operate mechanical equipment (sewing machines, generators, etc.)
- Read and interpret installation maps and procedures
- Communicate effectively before, during, and after assignments
- Complete required paperwork (billing, payroll, inventory tracking)
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance
- Maintain tools and equipment to minimize jobsite disruptions
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Perform quality checks prior to leaving the jobsite
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and take direction
After completion of the probationary period, employees will be provided with a basic tool kit and are responsible for its maintenance. The tool kit may include, but is not limited to:
- Multi‑bit screwdriver
- Needle‑nose pliers
- Side cutters
- T‑handle pull tool
- Stainless steel stapler and staples
- Industrial scissors
- Tape measure
- Flexible/circumference tape measure
- Markers
- Utility knife with replacement blades
- Tool bag
Employees must report lost, damaged, or malfunctioning tools to their Team Lead.
Physical Requirements- Lift up to 100 pounds without assistance
- Walk, climb, balance, crawl, kneel, and use stairs
- Work in and around large equipment, including confined spaces
- Maintain good manual dexterity
- Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain adequate vision, hearing, and speech abilities
- Communicate clearly with coworkers, customers, and office staff (English required; Spanish is a plus)
- Read, write, and perform basic math calculations accurately
- Use a tape measure accurately
- Apply analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Make sound decisions using good judgment
- Demonstrate organization, motivation, and dependability
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience demonstrating aptitude for success
- Willingness to obtain certifications (e.g., forklift, man lift, etc.) as required
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre‑employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check, drug screening, verification of a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record, and the ability to meet all safety and job‑related requirements as determined by the company.

This position is considered safety‑sensitive and requires strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and site‑specific requirements at all times.
Compensation and Benefits- Hourly based on experience
