Painter / Drywaller / Carpenter
This full-time role combines painting, drywall, and carpentry work on residential and commercial projects. You will complete painting, staining, finishing, texturing, plastering, drywall, and related carpentry tasks while working on-site and taking direction from a Reconstruction Project Manager. The position suits someone with general knowledge of home construction, or a strong willingness to learn quickly, who can work efficiently and independently while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Responsibilities- Perform interior and exterior painting, staining, and finishing on residential and commercial properties.
- Complete drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing to a high standard.
- Apply textures and plaster finishes as required by project specifications.
- Carry out carpentry tasks, including basic construction, framing, and finish carpentry work.
- Follow directions and project plans provided by the Reconstruction Project Manager while working on-site.
- Identify, communicate, and help navigate problems or unexpected issues that arise during projects.
- Work efficiently and independently to complete tasks on schedule while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Present a professional image when interacting with clients, coworkers, and other on-site personnel.
- Travel to various commercial job sites as needed to support ongoing projects.
- At least 6 months of carpentry experience.
- Ability to perform painting, staining, and finishing work in residential and commercial environments.
- Capability to complete drywall, taping, mudding, and finishing tasks.
- Basic construction knowledge, including framing and finish carpentry.
- Willingness and ability to learn new home construction techniques quickly.
- Capacity to work efficiently and independently on job sites.
- Professional communication and conduct when working with project managers and clients.
- Ability to travel to commercial sites as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- General knowledge of home construction practices.
- Experience working on both residential and commercial projects.
- Comfort working under the direction of a Reconstruction Project Manager.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise on-site.
- Attention to detail in finishing work, including painting, drywall, and carpentry.

You will collaborate closely with a Reconstruction Project Manager and other field personnel while often working independently to complete assigned tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauwatosa, WI.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
