Maintenance Technician - 24 Hours Per Week
Join Oakbrook Corporation as a Maintenance Technician at Hide House Lofts, a 60-unit apartment community in Milwaukee. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and appearance of the community, ensuring a safe, functional, and well maintained environment. This is a part-time position (24 hours per week) and includes participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
- Complete work orders efficiently with a focus on timeliness and resident satisfaction
- Prepare vacant units for new move-ins, ensuring a high standard of readiness
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Maintain common areas and grounds to uphold property standards
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of the on-call rotation
- Identify and communicate safety concerns or repair needs
- Support other area properties when needed

- Strong background in residential or multi-family maintenance
- Skilled in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
- Reliable and self-motivated with strong follow-through
- Personable, approachable, and able to build trust with residents
- Effective problem-solver with sound judgment
- Organized and able to manage responsibilities independently
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade certification or technical training preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Personal hand tools required
