Welder

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Welder role is based in Milwaukee, WI. The Welder will fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components for mechanical systems using various welding processes according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Daily responsibilities include setting up and operating welding equipment, inspecting materials and completed welds for quality and safety, and working with project teams to meet deadlines and project standards.

The role also involves following established safety procedures, maintaining tools and equipment, and collaborating with supervisors and other trades to support installation and repair projects across commercial, industrial, and residential job sites.

• Proficiency in core welding techniques.
• Ability to perform precision work using TIG Welding for specialized joints and materials.
• Experience with MIG Welding for production, structural, and fabrication tasks.
• Knowledge of Materials, including metal types, properties, and appropriate welding applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Strong commitment to safety practices, OSHA awareness, and use of appropriate PPE.
• Relevant welding certification or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Previous experience in mechanical contracting, construction, or industrial environments is beneficial.
• Effective teamwork, communication skills, and reliability in an on-site, field-based setting.
