Yard Helper

Position Summary

Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, located in Milwaukee, is seeking a motivated individual to work with us as a Yard Helper. This role involves miscellaneous tasks around the branch, including maintenance and clean-up of equipment, rigging inventory, and small assembly and repairs. Entry level and full-time, non-exempt with comprehensive benefits. Eligible for a $100 bonus after 100 days of continuous employment.

• Miscellaneous housekeeping tasks around the yard: maintenance and clean-up of equipment, buildings, and general area
• Cleaning and pressure washing of cranes and heavy-duty trucks
• Assisting in loading and unloading cranes and crane components
• Operating hand and power tools and a variety of other equipment and instruments
• Maintaining conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery; able to work in conditions with marked temperature and humidity changes
• Ability to safely operate complex construction equipment, including forklifts and tele-handlers
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
