Field Technician-Appleton, WI

Overview

Field Technician – Gas Utility Survey (Appleton, WI and surrounding areas). Responsible for inspecting, detecting and preventing natural gas leaks in the field using modern safety equipment and analyzing data. No prior experience required; training provided.

Full-time, Monday‑Friday first shift.

• Inspect, detect, and prevent natural gas leaks in the field.
• Operate air‑sampling and detection equipment, analyze data and prepare reports.
• Work independently, manage time and solve problems during incidents.
• Communicate findings to customers and coordinate with other team members.
• Walk approximately 5+ miles per day and perform other field tasks in outdoor environments.
• Maintain accurate logs and record keeping.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Passion for environmental safety and commitment to preventing harm.
• Tech proficiency or willingness to learn new equipment (phone and computer acceptable).
• Strong problem‑solving, customer service, communication and attention to detail skills.
• Physical stamina to walk, bend, crouch, kneel and carry up to 20lbs of equipment.

• Competitive Compensation
  : $21.00 per hour, automatic $0.50 increases at 60 days and 180 days.
