Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Maintenance Mechanic responsible for planned, unplanned, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems supporting Reworld’s industrial disposal process.

• Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per the maintenance schedule to prevent equipment breakdowns and operational downtime.
• Utilize root‑cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems while completing all required paperwork in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program.
• Open and close work orders, check out spare parts, and perform related activities using Reworld’s maintenance documentation program.
• Repair and/or maintain industrial production or processing machinery, including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
• Observe and evaluate machine operation to diagnose malfunctions using mechanical devices.
• Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Inspect operating machines and equipment to ensure conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Competitive base salary: $69,100.00 – $91,900.00 USD. Benefit package includes medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental plans; 401(k) with match; paid parental leave; paid time off; paid holidays; and other benefits such as PTO and retirement savings plan.

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
• Qualify to wear a full‑face respirator.
• Consistently work in various weather conditions.
