Asa Commercial Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter ,youwilloverseecommercialconstructionjobsites,working hands‑onwithallaspectsofinstallation.
Youwillmanagelargercrews,assign tasks,setgoals,andassistinthetraininganddevelopmentofapprenticesandotherteammembers.
Additionally,youwillsupportjobsitehousekeepingtomaintainasafeandorganizedworkenvironment.
- Hourly wage is set between $50.00 and $60.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizematerialsandmaintainjobsitestoensureasafeandefficientworkenvironment.
- UnderstandandapplyNFPAstandards(13,13R,14,20,25) forcode‑compliant
Fire Protection Systems . - Prepareandlayoutmaterialsandequipmentbasedonfireprotectionfabricationdrawings.
- Perform cutting,fitting,andpipingconnectionsincompliancewithindustrystandardsandcode.
- Layoutandmarkpipeinstallations,passage holes,andsprinklerheadpositionsforthecrew.
- Readandinterpretfireprotection,architectural,andstructuralplansandspecifications.
- Leadjobsites,assign tasks,andensureefficientcoordinationofcrewsandmaterialstomeetprojecttimelines.
- Responsible for leading, exemplifying and promoting the Dave Jones culture and holding team members accountable to all Dave Jones safety requirements.
- Possible overtime based on project needs
- Year‑Round Work
- Valid Journeyman Fitter License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a sprinkler fitter
- Strong knowledge of fire suppression systems and relevant codes
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Lift above 50lbs regularly
- Walking, Lifting, Twisting, Climbing Ladders, and other physical requirements consistently for 90% of your day
